12/09/2008 - Newcastle, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Newcastle United manager Joe Kinnear insists he will appeal against his latest Football Association charge.
The 61-year-old is said to have used abusive and insulting words toward an assistant referee in the closing stages of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Stoke City, but insists he has done nothing wrong.
Kinnear, who was sent to the stands by referee Mike Riley, said: "I'm going to defend myself against any charge because, on this occasion, I've done nothing wrong and I'm determined to clear my name.
"I still haven't been told exactly why I was sent from the dug-out, but I believe it was for supposedly saying something to the linesman. I'll fight this because I'm frustrated and disappointed it's happened.
"The thing that I find strange is I've no idea how the linesman has heard what I've supposedly said from where he was standing and with all the noise that was going on.
"Chris (Hughton) was having his say and I did say something, I know what I said, but I'll wait until I have to give my defence before I talk about that any more.
"There was plenty of noise around, the fans behind the linesman were absolutely furious and they were saying plenty to him as well, the whole place went crazy."
Kinnear is already facing a separate charge of improper conduct for calling Martin Atkinson 'a Mickey Mouse referee' after last month's 2-1 defeat at Fulham.

MySportsbook.com Posts Heisman Trophy Odds
With 3,919 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and a mere seven interceptions last season, combined with a powerful South Bend Heisman legacy, odds makers at MySportsbook.com have given Notre Dame senior quarterback Brady Quinn the best Heisman Trophy odds at 5-2.
Quinn isn’t the only big man on campus this season. Oklahoma junior running back and 2004 Heisman runner-up Adrian Peterson, listed at 7-2, rushed for a combined 3,033 yards in his first two years as a college player and will give Quinn a run for his money.
This online sportsbook has also listed Troy Smith, Ohio State senior quarterback, as another strong favorite to win the 72nd Heisman Trophy. A 7-1 bet, Smith threw for 2,282 yards last season and also led the Buckeyes to a convincing 34-20 victory over Quinn and the Fighting Irish in last season’s Fiesta Bowl.
Current betting odds Heisman trophy are:
